Early-bird price is SAR 1500 (approx USD 400) until March 14, SAR 1700 (approx USD 450) after that until final registration deadline of April 18 (exclusive of 15% VAT and any wire transfer fees). This price includes all sessions, lunch and coffee breaks, as well as one social event excursion with dinner. Accommodation, flight, in-country transportation, and visa expenses are not included.

We have some excellent trainers for PowerSchool SIS lined up – Vance Allen, Roger Sprik, Eric Schaitel from MBA, and Romy Backus. One advantage of this event is that the session schedule is planned in large part around the topics commonly requested by attendees on the registration form. Please sign up as early as you can, be as descriptive and detailed as possible, and chances are good that between the four of us, we’ll be able to cover what you want to learn!

2023 Amman Conference a Success!

With the generous support of sponsors PowerSchoolMarcia Brenner Associates, and GEST Consultancy, the sixth PSUG Middle East & Africa Conference was hosted by the American Community School of Amman from March 17-19, 2023 on their beautiful school campus in Amman, Jordan.

28 school leaders, educators, and technical staff from 15 schools in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Philippines, and India took part.

This three-day event was an excellent opportunity for participants to attend technical training, share resources, get questions answered, and network with counterparts at other schools. We had a variety of excellent sessions and topics to choose from as well as an all-star team of expert trainers: Roger Sprik, Greg Satterwhite, Romy Backus, Adrian Carlson, Vance Allen, Zach Davidson, and the ACS Amman Tech Team.

We are grateful to everyone who helped to make this event a success and look forward to our next conference in 2024!

2022 Conference A Success!

With the generous support of sponsors PowerSchool, Marcia Brenner Associates, and intellimedia, the fifth PSUG Middle East & Africa Conference was hosted by Dunecrest American School from March 3-5, 2022 on their school campus in Al Barari, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

45 school leaders, educators, and technical staff from 21 schools in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Oman, Qatar, Rwanda, and India took part.

This three-day event, our first one in-person since 2019, was an excellent opportunity for participants to attend in-depth technical training, share resources, get questions answered, and network with counterparts at other schools. We had a variety of excellent sessions and topics to choose from as well as an all-star team of expert trainers: Roger Sprik, Greg Satterwhite, Romy Backus, Jason Springel, Carla Dancz, and Eric Schaitel. Remote presenters included Adam Larsen and Chris Walberg. PowerSchool COO Maulik Datanwala as well as International Account Executive Sam Eilert were also present to facilitate an interactive session on the PowerSchool roadmap and listen to customer experiences.

We are thankful to everyone who helped to make this event a success and look forward to our next conference in 2023 in Amman, Jordan!

This three-day event on Dunecrest’s beautiful campus will be an excellent opportunity to increase your PowerSchool knowledge, share resources, get questions answered, and network with counterparts at other schools. We will have a variety of excellent sessions at different levels from experts in customization, scheduling, system administration, and much more!

All PowerSchool users and schools are welcome, from both the Middle East and further afield.

For insight into the types and content of sessions offered in the past at this event, please reference the 2020 Session Catalog. A detailed session schedule and sign-up for the 2022 event will be sent in mid February closer to the conference dates. Since this is a relatively small event, session offerings will be tailored to the needs and roles of the attendees. If you are planning to attend, please register early and be as descriptive as possible on the registration form with what you hope to learn, and every effort will be made to accommodate those needs in this year’s sessions and curriculum.

Please note that masks will be worn at all times throughout the conference, and all participants will be required to either show proof of full vaccination or a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours of conference begin.
