About AIS-R
The American International School – Riyadh (AIS-R) is an independent, non-profit, co-educational school offering an enriched American curriculum with an international perspective for students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. AIS-R was founded in 1963, and celebrates more than half a century of excellence in education on a beautiful, purpose-built campus in North Riyadh. AIS-R is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the Council of International Schools (CIS), and is International Baccalaureate (IB) authorized.

Khalid Abdeltam – Director of Technology

Khalid has served as the Director of Technology and eLearning at the American School since 2020. In this role, he spearheaded the successful implementation of PowerSchool, including its integration with various systems such as Odoo and OpenApply. Khalid’s expertise extends beyond technology administration, as he also teaches Grade 5 Digital Literacy. With over 10 years of classroom experience prior to transitioning to a technology leadership position, he brings a valuable educator’s perspective to his work.
Andrew White – PowerSchool Administrator

Andrew has been the PowerSchool administrator at AIS-R since 2023. He is responsible for day to day administration of PowerSchool, teacher training and parent outreach. He is also a member of the school’s Artificial Intelligence Task Force and teaches Grade 5 Digital Literacy. In addition to his role as PowerSchool Administrator he has taught all grade levels K-12, has been a Technology Coach, and Technology Administrator throughout his 29 years in education.
